“All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream.”
– Edgar Allen Poe

There are certain moments in our lives that burst to existence like a flash pot explosion, only to vanish into thin air as if it never existed at all. Aside from our memories (which fade and ultimately disappear over time), there’s little to no evidence of most of these experiences’ existence.

Here is a moment of my father with his granddaughter that I was lucky enough to capture this past weekend. His laugh speaks volumes of what she means to him, and this, to me, is lightning captured in a bottle.

This photo, above all, illustrates why I am drawn into photography in the first place: to share with you a small piece of the world through my eyes as I experience it. A dream within a dream, if you will.
